Happy Birthday!

I just thought I'd post a picture of these adorable birthday cupcakes that I made for a little girl's birthday last month.  They were a huge hit!

The flavor of spring

With the advent of spring comes the wide availability of my favorite (and my daughter's favorite) fruit: the strawberry!  So we're pleased to add fresh strawberries to our list of cupcake toppers.  Why not try our favorite strawberry-topped flavor: Chocolate Strawberry Torte.  Devil's food cake, topped with delicious vanilla creme pudding, fresh strawberries, and a chocolate drizzle.  They are truly amazing!

Our newest flavor!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcake.  It is to die for!  Delicious chocolate chip cake frosted with "cookie dough" buttercream, topped with mini chocolate chips and a mini chocolate chip cookie.  You know you want some!  (Don't worry, these do not contain raw eggs!)

Fall Festival

Last Friday and Saturday we set up our Sweet Whimsy booth at the Fall Festival downtown.  It was wonderfully busy, with the elementary school's carnival booths, the chili cook-off, and the pumpkin carving contest.  Not to mention the screams and chainsaw sounds emanating from the haunted house in the old historic jail house.  We met a lot of new customers, and sold our delicious cupcakes.  Our flavors from top to bottom: vanilla with vanilla buttercream, chocolate with peanut butter frosting, pumpkin with cream cheese frosting (my personal favorite!).  They were a big hit, and the festival was a smashing success!

Keeping up with demand :)

I am proud to announce that we have quite the following here in Globe.  We've sold over 80 jars of jam and jelly, and literally have customers coming back for more!  We're working hard to make hair clips fast enough to keep up with the demand.  We're restocking our supply of tutus and pixie wings after selling out, and have added some adorable hats just in time for fall fashion.  And the custom cupcake orders have made our customers and their dinner guests VERY happy!  Our latest favorite cupcake flavor?  Key Lime.  Delicious.

Assorted Cupcakes!

Custom Cupcake Order #1 was a success!  I made cupcakes for a friend's baptism get-together this weekend.  I topped them with chocolate number eights, eight being the age of the special girl!  I made four different types of cupcakes (from left to right):

• Lemon with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting
• Orange Creamsicle with Orange Buttercream
• Chocolate with Vanilla Buttercream and Chocolate Sprinkles
• Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream

It sounds like they were a big hit, especially the orange cupcakes, which, I'm told, disappeared first!
